Day 1 :Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Pick from Kampala and drive to Murchison Falls National Park on Bombo-Gulu highway through Luwero and Nakasongola before reaching Nakitoma where Ziwa is situated. Birding en-route before reaching Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

Drive to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to see rhinos. Register and get prepared for the briefing at the rhino tracking offices. These are the only rhinos in the wildlife here in Uganda. It has been through efforts of the dedicated and committed nature lovers and conservationist, tour operators and funders that is why this project has been successful this far and is growing in heaps and bounds, along with rhinos. There are many other animals that are found in this sanctuary. Tourists play a very important role set off with trained guides who would share their knowledge and experience with rhinos (the white race). After tracking drive to the selected restaurant/Hotel before proceeding to Murchison Falls National Park. After lunch drive through Masindi Town via Kichumbanyobo gate. This drive through Kaniyo pabidi sector of Budongo Forest is very rewarding. Here you will enjoy a lot of attractions such as a cool shaded forest that promises an unprecedented density and diversity of flora ranging from towering hardwoods to luscious ferns and animals such as baboon vervet and black and white colobous monkeys with several forest endemic bird species such as puvel’s Illadopsis then reach in expansion of woodland below the escarpment with fantastic view. Here at this point you will be able to see clear, blue mountains of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and in the background of Lake Albert before driving down to branch off taking the road to the top of Murchison Falls.

6 Days Uganda SafariDrive to the top of falls. Visiting the top of falls it is rewarding with fantastic view of the majestic waters of the river Nile squeeze out at 6 meters cleft makes foot plunge down this infamous Murchison Falls. It gives you an opportunity to see the violent compression through the narrow gorge creates a continuous roar from the top. It plunges 45m over the remnant rift valley wall creating the dramatic Murchison Falls, the center piece of the park and enjoy the fantastic view of the scenery down below the mighty cascade drains the last of the river’s energy transforming it into a broad placid stream that flows quietly across the rift valley floor. While at this point you will see a wide gorge and plunges with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” creating a trademark rainbow. This is a fantastic and great reward for the pose and photograph opportunities and drive to Paraa to check in late in the evening. Here you stand a chance to see rock pranticoles.

Day 2: Morning game Drive & Birding in Murchison Falls National Park
After early morning breakfast go for game drive around the Buligi game tracks on the northern bank. Here you will begin the journey into African wilderness. It engages all your sense from the very first beginning sparkled to life when you first hear a distant roar of a lion or a laugh of a hyena in the night or a song of thousands of cicada beetles at midday then experience the heightening of these senses when you feel the ground vibrate of giant elephant cross right in front of you, never to be forgotten sights and safari moments. Enjoy wide range of animals in this Nile Valley. Your guide will take you through this prime wildlife pane for the best of iconic and unforgettable safari experience. Animals here include several herds of buffalos, elephants, giraffes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, oribi, warthogs, baboon, hartebeest, leopards, hyenas, jackals, lions and several bird species encountered on this safari and afterwards drive back to the lodge for lunch before going for the afternoon boat cruise.

After lunch drive down to the 2:00 o’clock boat cruise. The lunch trip upstream from Paraa presents an astonishing display of wildlife and gives you an opportunity with the frontal view of the falls. This is a rewarding memorable experience. Just cruise few meters away from several enormous hippos and crocodiles basking along the banks with their month open. This is one of the exciting activity. The three hours cruise provides you with the tranquil sundowner as you cruise back offering the classic view of an Equatorial sunset reflected on the river. Enjoy other frequent visitors of the Nile such as waterbucks, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, combined with several water birds after the trip driver back to the lodge as you relax.

Day 3: Cultural and Community experience

After morning breakfast drive to Bugungu Community. Visit the Bugungu and cultural encounters. This takes you through the journey of discovery of the lives of local people, learn how oil exploration has affected the lives and culture of Bagungu and Alur. Understand the unique lives of these locals as you meet farmers and traditional ways of life and culture. Meet the reformed poachers, visit organic gardens of plantations of fruits. Visit the local bee-keeping project, see how honey is made and ….. Art of bee husbandry. Finally get welcomed back from the visit by the vibrant performance of the local people. It is a wonderful glimpse of life. This traditional music and dance engages all your senses from the very first beginning. The visit to this group gives you an opportunity to learn a skill as the locals demonstrate how local alcohol is made, how their dishes are prepared from cassava and afterwards drive to Hoima Town via the Buliisa-Hoima road with stop over at the escarpment with majestic sceneries and fantastic view across entire mountain spectrum of blue mountain of DRC and Lake Albert before proceeding to Hoima for lunch at the selected Restaurant/Hotel and overnight in Hoima.

Day 4:Transfer to Kibale National Park and Birding En-route

Enjoy the drive from Hoima to Fort Portal through this set against the dramatic backdrop of distant mountains of the moon the jagged Ruwenzori before lies the vast tea plantation of Tooro Kingdom. These buzzling endless green dotted tea plantation gives you a fantastic view for the best travel memory with stop over for lunch at selected restaurant/lodge in Fort Portal Town. Before proceeding to Kibale National Park check in at the lodge for overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park
After early morning breakfast drive to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for briefing to get set to go and meet the chimpanzee in the forest. Kibale forest is regarded as the playground of the chimpanzees and it is one of the few remaining areas of rainforest in Africa and offers the visitor the high percentage of viewing the 600 chimpanzees that rest in its tree canopy. The tracking starts at 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and lasts 2 – 5 hours. You will go through this ritual accompanied by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) Ranger Guides and being the highest Africa diversity at the primates in Africa and famously known as the primate capital of the world. After tracking drive back to the lodge.
Birding and Swamp Walk in Bigodi
After lunch go on the journey of discovery of the rich cultural tapestry. Join the local guide on the walk through the Bigodi Wetland Swamp to enjoy the local wildlife, birds and vegetation, the daily life of Batooro and Bakiga can be discovered during the village walk. Expect to see birds such as papyrus gonelek, Great blue trace, swamp warblers, grey checked mangbay, black and white colobus monkeys etc. This walk is a rewarding for the best captivating real local life style. Drive back to the lodge for overnight.

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala and Birding En-route
After morning breakfast drive through Fort Portal to Kampala. The morning drive from Kibale National Park through green tea plantation and farmland of Tooro Kingdom is the best combined with the spectacular landscapes providing the setting backdrop of the jagged Rwenzori Mountains. Drive through Kyenjonjo, Mubende, Mityana and Kampala.
